Ian Brown –
Emergency Management & Training Specialist
Ian Brown is a highly experienced Emergency Manager and Training Specialist with a distinguished career spanning decades in law enforcement and emergency operations.
Having served in a leadership role within the Operations Centre, Ian has now transitioned into operational and event planning, where he continues to apply his extensive expertise in emergency response and crisis management.
With a robust background in training and course development, Ian has designed and delivered technical and creative training programs for personnel at all levels. His ability to translate complex emergency procedures into effective training ensures that candidates receive real-world, practical knowledge.
Beyond law enforcement, Ian has dedicated over 30 years to His Majesty’s Coastguard, responding to countless medical emergencies as a first responder. His wealth of hands-on experience in search and rescue, medical incidents, and emergency coordination is invaluable to Ark Medical Solutions, where he shares his expertise in an engaging and informative training environment.
In recognition of his outstanding service to Search and Rescue, Ian was awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) in the 2021 New Year Honours. His commitment to public safety, emergency response, and training excellence continues to benefit every candidate he teaches at Ark Medical Solutions.
Kyle Hickman – Paramedic & Emergency Services Specialist
Kyle Hickman is a highly experienced emergency services professional with an extensive background in law enforcement, paramedicine, and emergency medical care.
Kyle began his career as a Police Officer, serving for 10 years before relocating to Australia, where he pursued his passion for emergency medicine. He completed a Bachelor’s degree in Paramedicine at the University of Tasmania and went on to serve with New South Wales Ambulance Service in Sydney, gaining invaluable frontline experience in pre-hospital emergency care.
Upon returning to the UK, Kyle continued his medical career within the Emergency Department at Poole Hospital, primarily working in the Resuscitation Room, handling critical cases in a high-pressure environment.
For the past three years, he has been serving on Frontline Ambulances, bringing 18 years of 999 experience to Ark Medical Solutions. His expertise in emergency response, emergency care, and pre-hospital medicine ensures that all training delivered is rooted in real-world application and best practices.
