Activity First Aid Course The Activity First Aid course offered by Ark Medical Solutions is expertly designed for anyone working, volunteering, or participating in outdoor activities and events. This course equips learners with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to manage a wide range of first aid situations, particularly focusing on sports and activity-related conditions. Who Should Attend? This Activity First Aid qualification is ideal for individuals involved in outdoor and activity environments, as well as those engaged in voluntary and community organisations. We customise the course specifics to meet the unique needs of your group or organisation, leveraging the professional experiences of our qualified NHS Paramedics and 999 Emergency Service Personnel instructors. Course Accreditation The Activity First Aid qualification is regulated in the UK and awarded by First Aid Awards (FAA), an organisation recognised by Ofqual and SQA Accreditation. This qualification sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and adheres to the Assessment Principles for Regulated First Aid Qualifications, in line with the current Resuscitation Council UK Guidelines. Course Structure The Activity First Aid qualification consists of two units, which learners must successfully complete to achieve the FAA Award in Activity First Aid. Learners who complete just Unit 1 can earn the FAA Award in Emergency First Aid at Work. This course is available to learners aged 14 and over, but individuals cannot assume responsibility as a first aider in the workplace until they reach the age of 16. Delivery Options The Activity First Aid course can be delivered either on-site at your chosen location or at our training center in Wareham, Dorset. Most of the training will take place outdoors, and we require a minimum of 4 participants to run the course.
