Annual First Aid Refresher

4 Hours - Annual refresher course for all those holding current certification. Please contact us to arrange this session. A minimum number of 4 candidates are required. Group Discounts are available for 8+. Flexible Dates and Times to suit including evenings and weekends . Price includes VAT. This annual refresher course is for all those currently qualified in either the full 3-day First Aid at Work or the 2-day Emergency First Aid at work. The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) strongly recommend that qualified First Aiders and Emergency First Aiders undertake an annual refresher course in order to keep their skills up-to-date and refreshed. This 4 hour annual refresher course has been designed to meet that requirement and will help First Aiders to maintain their skills and knowledge whilst also keeping up-to-date with any changes to protocols. A range of subjects is covered including:- • Responsibilities • Communication skills • Primary survey • Top-to-toe survey • Secondary assessment • AED • Resuscitation • Chain of Survival • Wounds and bleeding • Bandaging • Hygiene Although there is no formal assessment, the trainer will assess each individual throughout the course and issue a non-regulated certificate of achievement where the required level of attainment has been met. Candidates must be a minimum of 14 years old to attend this course.
