FAA LEVEL 2 AWARD IN BASIC LIFE SUPPORT AND SAFE USE OF AN AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATOR (RQF) Please contact us to arrange this session. A minimum number of 4 candidates are required. Group Discounts are available for 8+. Flexible Dates and Times to suit including evenings and weekends . Price includes VAT. This qualification is primarily for learners who have a responsibility at work or are involved in voluntary and community activities having access to an AED, or for any group or individual requiring entry level first aid certification and defibrillator use. This is our shortest certificated course at FAA Level 2. You will gain the knowledge and practical competence required to be able to recognise and treat someone who has suffered cardiac arrest and to respond quickly, calmly, and confidently. A range of subjects are covered including: • Responsibilities and reporting • Assessment of the situation • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty • Infection control • Resuscitation • AED functions • Defibrillation procedures • Safety measures This qualification is regulated in the UK and awarded by First Aid Awards (FAA). All candidates must be a minimum of 14 years of age to qualify. FAA are an awarding organisation regulated by Ofqual and SQA Accreditation and the qualification sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). The qualification is delivered, assessed, and quality assured adhering to the Assessment Principles for Regulated First Aid Qualifications, and delivered and assessed in accordance with the current Resuscitation Council UK Guidelines.
